Michael Villadelgado

Dr. Michael Villadelgado is a board-certified pediatrician, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a certified functional medicine provider from the Institute of Functional Medicine. He has been recognized as one of Orange County’s most trusted and respected primary pediatric providers for over 25 years. He is originally from New Jersey but has made California his home since 1990. He graduated cum laude from the University of California at Berkeley, obtained his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, and finished his pediatric training at the tertiary center for Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles.

Driven by a desire to offer more complete and lasting solutions to patients facing chronic health challenges, Dr. Villadelgado has expanded his expertise beyond traditional Western medicine. He is the first pediatrician in Orange County to be certified through the Institute for Functional Medicine and incorporates those concepts into a full-time pediatric and adult care practice. This advanced, root cause approach allows him to address not only acute illnesses but also the complex, underlying factors that contribute to chronic conditions, such as anxiety, depression, PANS, PANDAS, ADHD, Autism, immune dysregulation including autoimmune conditions, allergies, and asthma. He endeavors to help his patients find lasting relief from their ailments, rather than only treating symptoms and relying on chronic use of medications.

On his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife and 3 kids, playing pickleball, and even started surfing again.
